Celebrate your Family History

Last weekend, I had the privilege of  attending the British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa conference, as a participant in the marketplace.  This was such a valuable experience, as I was able to meet some very incredible people who are working so hard to record their genealogy, and family heritage.  It was great timing for me also, because my 2013 new years resolution is to begin working on family heritage books for my family.

The people that I met last weekend, and maybe even you have researched all these stories.  You have gathered the documents, and found the photographs.  Now imagine it all in a beautiful album, sitting on your coffee table for family & friends to enjoy! Imagine giving it to family members as Christmas and birthday presents.  Could there be a more personal gift to give?

Make-A-Wish

September is Make-A-Wish month at Creative Memories.  While I do not have children, yet, I can appreciate the hope that this organization has brought to the lives of children who are diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions, and their families.

This month, Creative Memories has decided to make a deliberate effort to join forces with Make-A-Wish, to help make more wishes come true, and you can help by:

• Hosting a Wish Party.  If Creative Memories consultants book 15,000 parties during September, Creative Memories will make a donation of $7500 to Make-A-Wish to help grant a wish!
• Purchasing Dream products, all of which generate a $1 or $2 donation to Make-A-Wish
• Purchasing Wish Dollars.  100% of your donation benefits Make-A-Wish* I am committed to ensuring these donated wish dollars are donated directly to the Make-A-Wish Ottawa local chapter.
• Becoming a Creative Memories consultant.  For each new recruit (over 750 and up to 1500) signed up before September 30, Creative Memories will donate $10 to Make-A-Wish
• Ask me for details!

In addition to what the company is offering, I will be donating 10% of all my proceeds in September to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Some of you are already aware that I donate 10% of my proceeds to end modern day slavery.  This Make-A-Wish Foundation donation will be in addition to that.  That means, that by making a purchase this month, you will be creating an even bigger opportunity to make a difference!
